This painting was inspired by lichen and its symbiotic nature, and thriving together under challenging circumstances. Specifically here I was inspired by the mycelial network that supports lichen and allows it to live symbiotically under such challenging circumstances. We can’t see it from the outside, it’s an unseen network providing care and protection behind the scenes.
