As I make the paintings for my Kickstarter on threatened ecosystems, I’ve been making some paintings that are inspired by my adjacent impressions of these places as I read about them. For this painting I was inspired by the coastlines near the Alaskan Kelp Forests as they bleed into the sea, an important part of the ecosystem that directly impacts the kelp forests
